Revigny lies some fifteen kilometers west of Bar-le-Duc. The village owes its relative fame to its native André Maginot. In September 1914, at the height of the Battle of the Marne, Revigny-sur-Ornain suffered an enemy offensive aimed at breaking the eastern defensive line. In the end, it was defeated. Later, at the rear of the front line, the village was put at the disposal of French and then American generals, who led supply operations there. Here, you'll enjoy a generous natural environment, plains and green hills. Today, some 2,800 people live in this peaceful village on the banks of the Ornain.
