Church where you can admire a crenellated keep converted into a bell tower, a trompe-l'oeil painting, a carved and gilded wooden altarpiece
The church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption features a crenellated keep transformed into a bell tower in the 15th century. Inside, various listed items of furniture have been restored and reinstalled in 2019: the altar, listed as a Monument Historique, the trompe-l'œil painting by Cerroni in 1831 that covers the entire chevet, the 17th-century altarpiece in carved wood and gilded with fine gold, the 17th-century baluster and staircase, and the 16th-century polychrome limewood piéta.

Good description made by Petit Futé! It is super that this church is preserved in this beautiful country house full of charm!
