Church with 5 chapels which has a unique gothic nave with ribbed vault and a pentagonal choir in Bar-le-Duc
Built on the canal des Usines, this church features a single rib-vaulted Gothic nave and a pentagonal choir. The building houses 5 chapels, including the early 17th-century Chapel of the Virgin, with a 17th- to 18th-century altar. 15th-century murals depict a piéta, Saint Ursula, Saint Madeleine and Saint Yves. The limestone Coronation of Thorns and the wooden Descent from the Cross date from the 16th century, while paintings date from the 17th-18th centuries, and the enclosed pews and organ from the 19th century. Atypically, the church is enclosed between houses.
