When King Henry IV ordered the water to be drawn from the Les Eaux de Saint-Loubouer spring, it was the start of a vocation that has never been denied: that of good living and good living. In 1860, Empress Eugénie de Montijo, wife of Napoleon III, was named godmother of the commune, named in her honor. She encouraged recognition of the virtues of spring water. Today, people come to Eugénie-les-Bains to treat rheumatic, urinary and digestive disorders, as well as pre-diabetes and hypercholesterolemia. Eugénie-les-Bains is a health and nature village with modern facilities and a gourmet village!
