The Basilica of Saint-Epvre is a magnificent building, both imposing, majestic, and graceful
A magnificent building, at once imposing, majestic, and... graceful. In 1451, it was a gothic church, razed 400 years later before being rebuilt in a neo-gothic style by a Nancy architect, Prosper Morey. The church was then elevated to the rank of minor basilica by Pope Pius IX. Its monumental staircase was donated by Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria, Napoleon III and Eugenie donated stained glass windows, and the organs were awarded a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1867. Impressive!

Avec son petit air de Notre-Dame de Paris, la basilique Saint-Epvre surprend agréablement. L'oeuvre est finement ciselée. A voir !!!

Située dans la vieille ville, la Basilique Saint-Epure est magnifique même si sa restauration est en cours. Vivement que les travaux soient finis.

Magnifique basilique en partie restaurée. Superbes vitraux. Plein de petits cafés sympathiques sur la place sur laquelle elle se situe.

La basilique est au mieux de la vieille ville dans un quartier où il faut vraiment se balader et aller boire un verre.

magnifique basilique de style gothique, le plus bel édifice religieux de la ville, dans le quartier touristique de la vieille ville. l'intérieur est très lumineux et l'on appréciera les peintures et mosaiques, le mobilier viennois et surtout les orgues
