Three bell towers, three churches for this small town nestled in a green setting, the highest point of the Ambazac mountains, where kaolin was mined until the 1950s. The church of the village, whose nave is Romanesque and the Gothic sanctuary, houses a wooden stall from the Grandmont abbey and a 15th century statue of Saint Roch. The 12th century church of Saint-Pierre-la-Montagne, whose copper door is contemporary, contains a 15th century Virgin of Mercy. There is a particularly interesting flora in the peat bogs of Malety, Gros-Cheyroux and especially in the Dauges valley. The latter, protected as a site, is classified as a nature reserve. It has preserved remarkable species such as the summer spiranthe, the droséra (carnivore), the marsh lycopod for the flora and the meadow pipit as well as a relic dragonfly for the fauna. Saint-Léger-la-Montagne has managed to preserve an important rural heritage, washhouse and old oak trees in Mallety, low walls, etc. On the Couze, which flows through beautiful rocky landscapes, a charming culvert known as the Roman bridge is made up of five small arches.
