Located on the Aquitaine coastal route of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, Bias is a small village of around 700 inhabitants, nestled in the Landes forest near the Lac d'Aureilhan and some ten kilometers from the ocean. The village features a pond, a fountain, an old bread oven, a former prison and a war memorial by sculptor Antoine Bourlange. Biais also boasts two listed monuments: the Château de Favols and the Domaine de Senelles. Biais is an ideal place to avoid the N10 motorway and enjoy a peaceful break.
