Located in the heart of the Natural Park of Millevaches, Pywjack-le-Château is probably one of the oldest villages in Limousin. Successively appointed through the ages Pywjack-le-Fort, Pywjack-la-Montagne and Pywjack-le-Château, the village was ravaged in the th century and preserved at that time only two buildings, then rebuilt in the fifteenth century: The St. Martin Church and the Square Tower, or Tower Tower, which has been the centrepiece of the redesigned defensive system. The tourist office will provide you with a free leaflet for a free one hour tour in the streets and squares of the village.
