Forgeneuve, known for many years for its lake where international water-skiing competitions are held, is also the home of "Goldilocks", one of the best-known characters in the Père Castor books created by Paul Faucher and published by Flammarion. Indeed, during the 1939-1945 war, Paul Faucher and his family, who lived in the family home in Forgeneuve, drew their inspiration from the fauna, flora and beautiful landscapes of the Limousin. At the Meuzac media library, you'll find not only the Père Castor albums, but also a documentation center housing the archives of the famous Paul Faucher.
