Musée de la Résistance (Museum of the Resistance) in the former convent of the Sœurs de la Providence, with an educational area dedicated to schoolchildren

The Museum of the Resistance in Limoges has found its place in the former convent of the Sisters of Providence, which has been entirely renovated by the City of Limoges. The exhibition succeeds brilliantly in telling us the local history in the national and global context of the time: life under the Vichy regime, the Occupation, the actions carried out by the Haute-Vienne Resistance... A room is also dedicated to temporary exhibitions (about 3 per year); an educational area is intended for schools; the documentation room is open to all researchers.

Open Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays 9am-5pm, Saturdays and Sundays 1:30pm-5pm. 1st Sunday of the month: 9am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-5pm. Closed on December 25, January 1 and May 1. Self-guided tour with audio guides in French, English and German. Accessible to disabled visitors, but not certified. Documentation center open to researchers (by appointment). Gift store. Adults €5. Reduced admission €3. Free for children under 26.
