FRAC ARTOTHEQUE NOUVELLE AQUITAINE
FRAC-Arthothèque, in an industrial building, offers an optimized presentation of collections, a showcase of contemporary art
As of December 2018, the Co-operators Gallery is permanently closed. Today the FRAC-Artothèque is preparing a new artistic and cultural project and its installation in a building owned by the New Aquitaine region, located in the heart of Limoges, at 17 bis rue Charles Michels. The opening is scheduled for summer 2020. This late 19th century industrial building, with a surface area of 1500 m2, will allow an optimized presentation of the collections, a renewed encounter with the public and will constitute a showcase of contemporary art. Its rehabilitation is carried out by the architectural firm Jakob+MacFarlane. The State is supporting the FRAC-Artothèque development project and the rehabilitation of the Charles Michels site.
