A marshal's house, converted into a museum displaying figurines depicting historical reconstructions of battles.
Born in 1762 in this house in the cathedral district, Jean-Baptiste Jourdan distinguished himself in the military career during the wars of the Revolution and the Empire. General, winner of the battle of Fleurus (1794), he was raised to the dignity of Marshal of France by Napoleon (1804). He died in 1833 and is buried at the Invalides. His birthplace has become a museum exhibiting a collection of thousands of figurines staged in historical re-enactments of battles.
