An address offering old-fashioned bistro cuisine, generous and traditional desserts.
The most constant and among the most appreciated tables in Limoges with its 1950s Parisian bistro decor, old pubs with walls, waiters with long aprons, a beautiful room at the back to take a little shelter and enjoy the woodwork. In the plates, you can enjoy fresh produce from the Halles opposite. Old-fashioned bistro cuisine: crispy calf's head and tongue, all-you-can-eat tripe, pig's foot crumble and perfect braised sweetbreads. The desserts are generous and traditional, the chocolate mousse at will is perfect.

Produits frais, viandes parfaitement cuites, desserts maison, que demander de plus !

The restaurant is fairly typical, with gingham tablecloths. The Limousin cuisine is well represented on the plates (calf's head with gribiche sauce is very good). I'd also recommend a country terrine and chocolate mousse, served as often as you like. All in all, Alphonse's is good and not too expensive.
