The commune of Dournazac is part of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park. It boasts a number of historic buildings, including the 12th-century church of Saint-Sulpice and the Château de Montbrun, a fortified castle built between the 12th and 15th centuries. Its exterior has been listed as a Monument Historique since 1990. Grand Puyconnieux (496 m), located to the north of the commune, is one of the highest peaks in the Monts de Châlus and a watershed for the Vienne, Charente and Dordogne rivers. A picnic area and orientation table are set up at the summit, from where you can admire a vast panorama.
