LAC DE LAVAUD-GELADE

Artificial, this 300-hectare lake is one of the largest in the department. Created in 1943 on the river Taurion, it is located in the Parc Naturel Régional de Millevaches and classified as a Natura 2000 zone. A paradise for fishermen, the lake has a high density and diversity of fish: white fish, carnivorous fish, cyprinids... They can access its waters via navigation, however only thermal, electric and float-tube engines are allowed. Finally, ten berths have been set up for night carp fishing.
