Here you are in the heart of the Pays Dunois, in the town formerly known as Dun-le-Palleteau, near the beautiful Creuse valley. Dun-le-Palestel is a flowery village and an ideal holiday resort. The Hôtel de la Poste, flanked by a tower to the west, is built on the site of the old castle, inhabited by Roger le Palestel around 1207. Note also the portal of the old church (13th century, demolished in 1908), rebuilt on the facade of the hospice. The Notre-Dame-de-la-Reconnaissance church was built between 1905 and 1908. It has an 11th century polychrome wooden statue in the heart under the stained glass window of the Assumption.
