This small commune, born from the gathering of about twenty villages, is located opposite the Bénévent plateau, on the foothills of the Saint-Goussaud mountains. Its hilly landscape is crossed by the Via Lemovicensis, one of the roads leading to Santiago de Compostela. This position makes it an important crossing point for pilgrims.
