To the north of Brive, Ussac is distinguished by a wide variety of landscapes, a characteristic preserved traditional habitat to be built in brazier, a particularly hard local sandstone. The location of the village on a sandstone slope made it vulnerable to major droughts. For this reason, a large number of wells were dug throughout the territory. A picturesque circuit of wells has been set up which serves as a guideline for strolling through the quiet lanes of this charming village.
