Vensac is a small wine-growing commune, located in the north of the Médoc, between two leading seaside resorts on the Atlantic coast: Soulac-sur-Mer and Montalivet. Some of its inhabitants have the peculiarity of making mounaques, in other words hay and rag dolls. The commune also has a 19th century windmill.
