Vendays-Montalivet is renowned for its CHM Montalivet naturist campsite, one of the oldest and largest in Europe. The commune also boasts a first-rate commercial and craft scene, with its indoor market and outdoor market, which in summer features over 200 stalls. As for heritage, there's no shortage of sights to see, including the picturesque gendarmerie, housed in a typical house with a symmetrical pitched roof, a balcony, pretty wooden carvings and an emerald-green blue color that doesn't look very regulation. Last but not least, Montalivet is a seaside paradise with its large, supervised beaches.
