Just 12 kilometers from Brive-la-Gaillarde, Larche takes its name from an ancient arched bridge over the Vézère. Nestling between the Couze and Vézère rivers, on the border between the Limousin and Périgord regions and at an altitude of 88 metres, it is the lowest point in the département. Although the landscape is more reminiscent of Périgord, the ethnic influence of the Limousin is nevertheless felt in the town's heritage and culinary influences. The town was owned by the Noailles family from the 12th to the 18th century. You can visit the pretty bridge over the Vézère, the remarkable Saint-Caprais church and the beautiful Château du Puyjubert.
