La PigstyThis village of Haute-Vienne is the homeland of an illustrious French scholar, Arsène d'Arsonval (1851-1940), who was a professor at the College of France, a member of the Academy of Sciences and Academy of Medicine. His activity worked in many areas, including high frequency currents used in medicine. He invented the double-envelope vases to keep the liquid air. Some of his inventions are still preserved in his home house, the Borie where he is buried and donated to the Collège de France. In the Romanesque church, one will notice a Virgin to the Assisse child and a carved altarpiece. Also discover, the feudal motte of Chateauvieux, the site of the barrens of the stone serpentine of the Stones of Mas and the pond of Piquette.
