Torreilles is a pretty, well-restored village, and its wild beach has been a magnet for visitors for decades. One of the few places on the sandy coast not to have suffered the ravages of urbanization, Torreilles is an authentic Salanque commune. With its 4 km of fine sandy beach, protected from overdevelopment by the Conservatoire du Littoral, it is a favorite with nature lovers, especially naturists, who have found the perfect spot. Away from the old village, bordered by the banks of the Agly, the little Notre-Dame-de-Juhègues chapel is mentioned as far back as the 11th century. The Futé has always had a soft spot for this "enclave".
