5 km south-east of Ille by D 615. Corbère is a small village of 500 inhabitants nestled at the foot of the Aspres, and dominated by its castle probably built in the th century and subsequently enlarged and modified. At the bottom of this building, which was renovated some years ago, remains the ruins of a former village abandoned in the th century. As for the village itself, which has a lovely view from the castle, it contains some th century mansions typical of the Roussillonnais rural habitat. We will stop on the remarkable site of the snow well, des de Sant Julia and the lime kiln.
