Travel Guide Rocles

At an altitude of 1,150 m, in the middle of beautiful pine forests and close to the Clamouse and Donozau rivers, the village has a church with an openwork bell tower typical of the region, which can be seen from far away. It was partly rebuilt at the end of the last century. A popular destination for nature lovers, Rocles offers many activities related to its mountain environment: hiking, fishing, tree climbing... Every year, on the first Sunday after September 24th, the village celebrates the Sainte-Thècle, when people come to ask for a cure for toothache. The celebration is an opportunity to taste maoutcho, a traditional dessert.
