Prévenchères is located in the high country of the Cevennes. The commune has a very beautiful Romanesque church, a former priory depending on the powerful abbey of Saint-Gilles-du-Gard. Built on a trefoil plan, quite rare in Lozère, it is surmounted by a low ellipsoidal dome, very original. The facade is enhanced by a bell tower-wall with four bays. Inside, we discover interesting capitals sculpted in granite. The enormous lime tree of Sully, four centuries old, shades the square. Ideal for a break in the shade
