The recent reform of the communes has united La Salle-Prunet with Florac, which have now become Florac-Trois-Rivières, a fitting name given the town's location at the confluence of the Mimente, Tarnon and Tarn rivers. The town's location on a major ancient traffic route has helped it to grow in influence and become the site of renowned markets and fairs. In the summer months, the town comes alive with a southern flair. You can stroll along the large esplanade shaded by plane trees (where you'll see the bust of Léon Boyer, a local boy who drew up the first plans for the Garabit viaduct) and enjoy a drink on one of the café terraces.
