On the edge of the N88, the village is dominated by its church and the old presbytery. The date of construction of the church is not known, but it must date back to the end of the 11th century since it is mentioned in a letter from Pope Calixtus II, written in 1123. Its portal is remarkable, with its carved capitals. Its present appearance is the result of successive alterations. In 1380, the south-eastern part of the parish already enjoyed a certain security thanks to the Château du Cheylard, and the northern part was also organized around an imposing square tower, the Tour de Clamouse, in order to resist the English. Only a few remains remain today.
