Read moreIn the Natura 2000 zone, the site of the lake of Charpal irresistibly evokes Canada. Its very particular history (the lake was supposed to shelter ammunition between the two world wars and a railroad had been built there), its forest, planted in the 50s, made it a unique place sheltering a rather exceptional fauna and flora. A path has been set up and you can walk or mountain bike along the almost 9 kilometers of the forest, which are decorated with educational panels on the environment. If fishing(no kill) is allowed, swimming is forbidden.
