The rue-rue de Barre, stretching on the top of a fairly steep slope, is one of the few towns in the heart of the Cevennes. The opening facades of the bourgeois houses (windows, porches, etc.) that welcomed the mounts on the ground floor testify to the time when the city lived mainly from trading. The small Romanesque church Notre-Dame-de-l 'Assomption, isolated above the village, has been redesigned several times, but retains a lot of charm.
