Dominated by its church with its square bell tower, this adorable village is located in the middle of vineyards and scrubland. Separated from the sea by a dune, its pond is a protected site for its fauna and flora, such as pink flamingos, ducks and other egrets, reedbeds and saltwort. In addition to the Roman aqueduct, the walker can discover the remains of the temple of Venus, which gave its name to Vendres. At the end of the steep streets of the old village, a pretty shaded square is discovered, where a fountain with a gargoyle is enthroned. A few kilometers away from this haven of peace, the 4 km long beach offers to all the amateurs of idleness and water sports what they wish.
