A greenway following the route of an old railroad, with an itinerary that opens up to all forms of hiking

Between Bédarieux and Mazamet, this greenway of about 80 km follows the course of an old railway line. It is a magnificent itinerary open to all forms of hiking (walking, cycling, horse riding). A very complete booklet dedicated to this Passa Païs has been published by the Haut Languedoc Regional Natural Park. Inside, you will find the history of the sites crossed, a census of their heritage and a list of their good addresses. It is available online for downloading and for sale in the tourist offices of the region.

Dépaysement assuré
80 km entre Mazamet et Bédarieux. Passage du Tarn à l'Hérault, et du versant atlantique au versant méditéranéen.
Les tunnels sont biens éclairés, le revêtement est parfois sablonneux avec risque de chutes.
Labastide Rouairoux n'est pas très bien signalé en ce qui concerne l'accès à la voie verte et aux commerces

Magnifique - pour toute la famille
Cette voie verte est simplement magnifique. A pied, à vélo (VTT) ou à cheval sur une ancienne ligne ferroviaire dans une nature somptueux, c'est parfait. Le revêtement est en sable compacté, ce qui évite que les vélo de route ne puissent passer. Nombreux brasseries et/ou guinguettes dans les villages. Amenez une lampe torche et un K-way si vous voulez traverser le tunnel de 800 m sur le point culminant (Col de la Fenille), il y a de l'eau partout.
