Renowned between the 14th and 16th centuries for its potters, Saint-Jean-de-Fos continues to perpetuate this tradition. Whether unglazed or glazed, the village abounds with examples of pottery: on the four slopes of the bell tower, where green tiles nestle, or in the small pottery museum, which displays pieces of fountains, jugs, dishes and statuettes... and on the Route des Potiers, route d'Aniane, where young craftsmen are grouped together! Saint-Jean-de-Fos was once a fortified village, but all that remains of its past is an imposing gateway through one of the surrounding towers.
