Built as an amphitheatre at the foot of a steep rock, this village has preserved rich vestiges. Even today, one can still admire its imposing 12th century seigneurial castle and its chapel. This one deserves a good look because of its beautiful Romanesque windows, its thick three-sided walls and its Roman baptismal basin. Nearby, one still notices the traces of a staircase dug in the thorny rock. But you don't need to climb any higher to contemplate the breathtaking view from the village. Indeed, its heights make it possible to apprehend an impressive part of the territory, going from the massif de la Gardiole to the Pic du Canigou, via the cities of Agde and Sète.
