Perched on a town in the heart of the vineyards, whose names originated in the martyrs is a village with jewels. Built on the site of the first sanctuary dating back to 982, the abbey Sainte-Marie, precious witness of the primitive Languedoc Romanesque art, seduced by the architectural purity of its lines. The canons of Sainte-Mary secured the promotion of the pilgrimage by providing a fragment of the True Cross, the relics of the Virgin and the leader of Saint John-Baptiste, carried out in the fifteenth century by Jacques Morel, guitarist goldsmith. These jewels are to be discovered inside the church. For the pleasure of eyes, do not hesitate to climb on the hill overlooking the Domaine de Roueïre. There is a remarkable wind turbine classified by the Historic Monuments of National Heritage, conceived in 1898 by the engineer Bollé to feed the castle.
