The Pinet Pinet is a typical architecture of the wine-growing villages. There are many famous houses maturity with their store to provide the necessary equipment for harvesting. This small commune, known throughout the world, owes its reputation to its famous AOC Picpoul-de-pinet, a dry and fruity white wine, and to the passage of the domitienne route, the great Roman route connecting Rome to Spain, in the territory of the commune. The Domitienne route built in 118 BC travelled the city over six kilometres and allowed the expansion of Pinet wine growing, which now accounts for nearly 700 hectares of vines.
