Nestled between the hills of the country of Faugères, Pézène-les-Mines is a jewel of medieval architecture. Built on a rocky pitch at the foot of a castle built between the xie and the twelfth century, its high houses take place along picturesque narrow streets and calamities. This strong, albeit well-protected, place had to be even greater in the Middle Ages. She was surrounded by a double enclosure and several small forts now shaved. Two huge terraces installed under imposing stone walls extend the building eastward. Private property, the castle does not visit but can be admired from the road.
