Developed in the early 1940s, aikido is a martial art based on displacement, imbalances and joint blockages. This discipline, whose practice excludes any idea of competition, is a defence technique that proposes to defuse the aggressiveness of the opponent by demonstrating to him the futility of his attack. Created in 1995, Aikiciam, a club affiliated with the French Federation of Aikido and Budô, brings together about 40 members each year. The teaching of this martial art is provided by Pierre Castay 4th dan BF, Dominique Alcalde 3rd dan BF.
