Perched on a rocky spur and dominated by a venerable Romanesque tower, Montady rises in the middle of a landscape of vineyards and scrubland. The pond that lies at its feet covers more than 400 ha, it was dried up under Saint Louis. Classified as a picturesque site by decree of 26 July 1974, it benefits from a remarkable water drainage system. Its network of drainage ditches, arranged like the spokes of a wheel, and the variety of cultures, resemble a geometric design reminiscent of a huge stained glass window. As the seasons go by, this pool changes its appearance.
