A medieval town nestled at the foot of the Caroux massif, Mons-la-Trivalle seems to have been spared by fate. Close to the Héric gorges, its old stone houses solidly attached to the rock open up to visitors who take the Tarassac suspension bridge to admire the mill of the same name. The Caroux, also called "mountain of light", is a paradise for hikers and climbers. Located in the heart of the Haut Languedoc Regional Natural Park and at the foot of Mount Caroux, you can even observe the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees from a viewpoint. To see: the Romanesque church, the town hall square and the remains of the feudal castle.
