At the foot of the Gardiole massif lies the vineyard of La Cave de Rabelais, where the vines are planted with a single grape variety, the white Muscat à petit grain, spread over two villages, Vic-la-Gardiole and Mireval. The tasting area of the Cave de Rabelais is an invitation to enter the funny and generous universe of this whimsical character that was François Rabelais, who quoted this beverage that he appreciated during his studies in Montpellier, in one of his writings. Since then, time has passed and Rabelais' cellar still seduces fine palates.

Open-air markets take place all year round in the communes of the Hérault, notably in Mireval. Twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, local producers and merchants from all walks of life come to present their goods. Food, flowers, textiles: the stalls are varied. It is a pleasure to browse among these passionate people, to learn about the typical varieties of the region, to ask for advice for a recipe or a seasoning. It is also a great way to discover the local life.

This wine cellar offers a range of muscats, cartagena rosés, etc., from the region as well as local products (olive oils, local wines, artisanal biscuits, berlingots, donkey milk soaps, organic jams). Jean-Luc Mazas is an independent winemaker. He works in organic agriculture to produce a beautiful range of sweet and dry muscats, rosés and carthagens, reds, light whites, sparkling wines, marc alcohol... In his store with its beautiful grocery cupboards, you will find all the delicacies of the area: wine of course, but also olive oil, juices and syrups, cookies, honey, jams... As a bonus, you can rent a charming trailer for the night on the estate or privatize the reception room for events.
