Wine lovers know the reputation of this Hérault commune, birthplace of one of the first AOCs in the Languedoc: Minervois-La Livinière. The history of this village is intrinsically linked to the history of the wine-growing estate. In fact, it owes its name to the term vine in Occitan (vinièra). Vine growing still occupies a major place in the life of the commune, particularly with the presence of its important cooperative cellar.
