Built at the confluence of the Boyne and Hérault rivers, this thousand-year-old village was particularly influenced by the Bishops of Béziers and Agde as well as by the Knights Templar around 1150, when they founded the Commanderie de Cazouls-d'Hérault, whose feudal walls still remain. Their austere and majestic silhouettes suggest the power of these individuals. More contemporary, the construction of dykes to limit flooding has given rise to a place for walking to discover the surrounding vineyards in an unusual way. It is an idea for an outing that should appeal to adventurers of all ages. Another specificity of the village, one can admire there the French Championship of tambourine, descending palm games, from April to October.
