A small medieval village that winds around its 10th century church, Causses-et-Veyran is perched on a limestone plateau. From its distant past, it retains some vestiges including Gallo-Roman pillars, the majestic priory of Saint-Sever, a Romanesque church from the 11th century now converted into a sales vault and a parish church dating from the 10th and 12th centuries. To enter the heart of the city, the walker has to go through narrow porches and, in the small medieval streets, the houses seem as if they are intertwined with each other. From the top of the hills, the walker can admire the splendours of nature and be moved by the indelible testimonies of the past.
