Municipal museum housing collections of paintings, utilitarian ceramics and archaeological material in Uzès.
Located in the former 17th-century bishop's palace near the cathedral, the museum opened in July 1910, before being abandoned and revived after 1945. Here you'll find a fine collection of Uzège pottery, everyday objects, maps and plans of the town under the Ancien Régime, as well as archaeological collections, mainly from the Neolithic period and all local. A whole room is devoted to the work of André Gide, who spent his childhood vacations in Uzès and wrote about it with great aptness.
