Located 9 km from Avignon, in the heart of a 3-hectare park, this haven of peace has the features of a castle built in 1738.

This charming hotel is housed in a château built in 1738, nestled in a 3-hectare park. The hotel is built on two floors around a stone staircase. Opening onto the greenery, the rooms - some beautifully parqueted, others sublimated by ultra-moist carpeting - are decorated with printed fabrics. The bathrooms were designed by Hydropolis, the Avignon-based goldsmith in the field. For breakfast, with fruit supplied by local farmers, you can choose between a pretty lounge or a flower-filled terrace.

This was our first stay but it will not be our last!! This beautiful château is everything we could want for a perfect stay. (Their website pictures are amazing but I assure you that it is even more stunning in person!!) The owners are absolutely delightful and helpful. The entire staff is so incredibly attentive as well. Cold water waiting in the refrigerator in the room. Amazing breakfast every morning. Coffee and tea available 24/7 in the breakfast salon.

They are so helpful in making recommendations for wineries, restaurants, and really just about anything you could possibly need help with.

So in love with the place and this area that we’ve already booked again for next year!!

When we were planning our trip in the South of France, my husband said that he wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast in a historic home. We did some research and found Chateau de Varenne. It looked wonderful and then managed to exceed our wildest expectations. The historic building is in immaculate condition and is beautifully furnished. The pool and grounds were stunning. The large French breakfasts were the best we had on our entire vacation. The laundry service was much appreciated as we were running out of clothes near the end of our trip. Emma and her family who run the place are extremely helpful, attentive, and kind. Emma assisted us with dinner and tourism recommendations. The Chateau feels like you are in the middle of nowhere with its peaceful beauty, but in reality you are steps away from great restaurants and a short drive away from the city of Avignon. I recommend Chateau de Varenne most highly.

Nach elf Jahren Pause der dritte Besuch im Château de Varenne und es war auch dieses Mal einfach magisch, ein Kraftort, der die Seele streichelt und einfach ganz besonders ist. Dieses Mal leider nur eine Nacht auf der Durchfahrt, wir waren aber auch schon eine ganze Woche hier und haben tolle Ausflüge in der sagenhaften Umgebung gemacht. Unaufdringlicher Service, alle sind sehr freundlich und die Zimmer sind ganz wunderbar. Wir kommen wieder.

Lovely Chateau experience! The owners and their staff were the nicest that we encountered on our trip! The room that we stayed in was very comfortable, but only had a tub (not a shower). Still, We enjoyed the experience! We also enjoyed visiting with the other guests, and the nice breakfast options. The grounds and the pool were very nice. We were visiting the Chateauneuf du Pape and Avignon area and this was the perfect place to stay. Plenty of parking, also, there is only one restaurant in the little tiny town, but there are plenty of other recommendations within a 10 to 15 minute drive.
