In a cameo of green and brown rock, Saint-Siffret is the starting point to visit the Gard Provençal and the Tarn Gorges. The streets are narrow, the houses dug in the rock, are cool and the old village is built in acropolis. The Romanesque-Byzantine church of Saint Siffret dates from the end of the 12th century. The 12th century castle of the Commanderie with its fortified gate has now passed into private ownership. Around Saint-Siffret extends a production area of several famous wine appellations (Côteau du Pont du Gard, AOC Duché d'Uzès, IGP Gard and Pays d'Oc), but also olive oil, honey, poultry.
