Saint-Gervais is a small village in the Gard region, where human activity is thought to date back to the 3rd century B.C. - the first inhabitants of the département, the Arécomiques, were brought here by the Phoenicians in the first millennium B.C. Saint-Gervais has retained its rural character. A small communal beach, Le Gravas, attracts bathers at the height of summer. As for hiking enthusiasts, there are many walks to choose from, including the Foncirgues springs, the Naste estate, the Madières estate at Bayne, Bedosse and l'Isle. This commune with its distinctive terroir produces Côtes du Rhône Villages Saint-Gervais.
