The natural history museum located in Nîmes, covering all areas of natural science on four themes

This museum is set up around a cloister and the Jesuit chapel (classified ^XVIIth). Ranked 6th nationally, it gathers collections brought back by the explorer E. Dumas, then the botanist J-F Séguier (1770). This museum covers all the fields of natural science on 4 themes presented to the public: Geology (from the South of France) - Prehistory (statue-menhirs) - Ethnography (African art) - Zoology (naturalized animals showing the evolution of species).

Opening time and information on NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

Open all year round. Closed January 1, May 1, November 1, November 11 and December 25. Tuesday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm; weekends, 10 am to 6:30 pm. Adults: €5. Reduced rate of €3 for students and the unemployed. Free admission for under-18s, disabled visitors and accompanying adults. Only the lower section is accessible to wheelchair users. Children welcome (schoolchildren from kindergarten to the end of secondary school, leisure centers, medical-educational institutes). Guided tours (educational workshops). Special events.
