The village of Montdardier is built at the foot of its picturesque castle. It was built at the end of the nineteenth century at the location of an old fortress. Several times destroyed and reconstructed, she controlled a great route of passage. The church of the Bourgado, dedicated to Saint Martin, is built a little away from the village. One can notice a naive tympan, work of a local sculptor from the older church. Above the commune stands the summit of La Tude, which is 895 meters high.
